Matti Ilmari Luostarinen (born July 10, 1951 in Iisalmi) is a Finnish doctor of philosophy and political science. Luostarinen has worked as a teacher, has held the duties of professor of geography, docent of sociology and senior researcher at the Centre for Economic Research in Agriculture and Food Economics (MTT) and researcher at the Academy of Finland .Luostarinen is known as a researcher in natural resources and rural areas, as well as an innovation and media researcher.
